Kevin Leahy
Kevin Leahy is the executive director of Clatsop Economic Development Resources (CEDR) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Both are headquartered at the Clatsop Community College South County Campus in Seaside, Oregon.
Most recently, Kevin was the owner of a retail store and partner in a national franchise organization. Previously, he served for many years as a vice-president with the parent company of Meier & Frank Department Store, a Fortune 500 company. He is also president of Retail Business Support, a company specializing in retail consulting.
Kevin graduated from Astoria High School, attended Clatsop Community College and graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, with concentration in management. He is a native Astorian. His family has lived continuously in Clatsop County since 1879.
Dick Powell
Dick Powell is a business counselor for the Small Business Development Center. He brings 16 years of business ownership experience and more than a decade of regional management responsibilities with Fortune 500 companies to his position. Locally, he worked for Clatsop Community Bank, and is active with several non-profit community organizations, including participation in positions of leadership.
Dick holds a master’s degree in international management from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
Mary Kemhus Fryling
Mary Kemhus Fryling is experienced working in higher education with upper-level management staff. Prior to joining the CEDR/SBDC staff, she worked at Eastern Washington University in human resources, the English Language Institute/Modern Languages, College of Arts and Letters, School of Social Work and College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is a graduate of Seaside High School and Oregon State University with a major in journalism and technical writing, and a double minor in animal science and veterinary medicine.
